Toyota Canada has announced pricing on the 2009 Corolla, Matrix, Camry and Camry Hybrid and the 2008 Sequoia which all launched this month.

This comes on the heels of recent Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Pricing (MSRP) adjustments on 16 Toyota and Lexus nameplates.

"We are pleased to make things better for those considering purchasing, leasing or financing these popular models, which together accounted for almost half of our 2007 Canadian sales," said Stephen Beatty, Managing Director at TCI.

"We will continue to monitor the Canadian market and take action to provide transparent and consistent value for our customers."

The all-new 2009 Corolla and Matrix are launched with lower introductory prices and new standard features such as active front headrests, six airbags, a tilt/telescopic steering column and electric power steering.

The 2009 Corolla is launched with a starting price of $14,565, the lowest introductory price offered on this vehicle since the 1997 model year.

For the 2009 Matrix, this model is introduced at $15,705, an MSRP adjustment of $1,495 versus the comparable base model 2008 Matrix.

The 2009 Camry and Camry Hybrid are also introduced with lower starting MSRPs and a suite of new features.

For example, the company added Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control as standard equipment on the Camry LE V6, while the Camry SE V6 receives new standard equipment such as a power moonroof and an anti-theft system.

For the 2009 Camry Hybrid, a power moonroof, dual illuminated vanity mirrors and rear reading lamps are now included as standard equipment.

Camry MSRP starts at a lower price of $23,400, while the Camry Hybrid is introduced at a new lower price of $30,660.

The all-new 2008 Toyota Sequoia comes to market with a new base MSRP of $44,675, the lowest starting price in Canada since 2001. The 2008 Sequoia also features a more powerful 5.7 litre engine that delivers 381 hp, increased towing capacity and improved fuel efficiency.
