Two nights earlier, Newmarket dropped a 4-2 decision to the Richmond Hill Stars as Jack Allin and Jeff McAndrew scored goals in a losing cause.

Quintin Zambrano scored two goals to power the Rappos-State Farm/Molisana Bakery Redmen to a 6-3 victory over the host Markham Waxers Sunday for a sweep of a weekend home-and-home series.
A day earlier, Michael Demchuk tallied two goals and Corey MacRae added a single markers in a 3-1 Newmarket win.

Jacob Brillinger notched the lone goal of the game and goaltender Gavin Spurrell was flawless as the College Manor Dental/Garden Homes Redmen edged the Pittsburgh Predators 1-0 Sunday in the championship game of the Pittsburgh Veterans Cup tournament.
Newmarket posted a 2-0-1 record to reach the final, including a 1-1 tie with the Predators in round-robin action. The Redmen also edged Uxxbridge Stars 2-1 and trounced Toronto’s Goulding Park Rangers 8-2.
In York Simcoe league play, Spurrell recorded a shutout and Carter Johnson scored two goals in a 3-0 win over the Markham Waxers.

Two goals from Austin Simon helped the Newmarket Redmen to a 4-4 tie Sunday against the Stouffville Clippers.
Josh Tardif and Keeton Snow also scored for Newmarket which capped a successful week in which the team claimed five of six points from three games.
After opening the week with a 2-0 win over Stouffville in which Keeton Snow scored twice and Aidan Mielczarek provided shutout goaltending, Antoine Raffoul tallied twice in a 4-2 victory over the East Gwillimbury Eagles.

Goals by Michael Ruggiero, Jacob Pearcey and Cole Ikeda propelled the No Frills Redmen to a 3-1 win and a second victory in as many days against the Stouffville Clippers.
A day earlier, five players shared in the scoring in a 5-2 triumph over the Clippers.
In other action, Tyler Lansley scored both Redmen goals in a 2-2 tie against the Barrie Colts.

Cameron Lee, Ben Philp and Jesse Parente tallied goals as the Grip Tech Rescue Redmen skated to a 3-3 tie Sunday against the home-ice Stouffville Clippers.

Single goals by Cooper Toogood, Brock MacDougall and Joshua Bond sparked the Newmarket Redmen to a 3-0 victory Sunday over the Markham Waxers.
One day earlier, MacDougall scored a hat trick and Ethan Angellotti added two goals as the Redmen slammed the Schomberg Red Wings 9-3.
Newmarket opened the week on the short end of a 5-3 loss to the Beeton Stingers as Matthew Mazzuca, Brady MacDonald and MacDougall scored goals.

The Newmarket Redmen got goals from four different players to cap a busy week with a 4-1 victory over the hosting TNT Tornados.
Andrew Holland, Spencer Wyatt, Jacob Mitten and Kurtis Millar accounted for the Redmen goals.
Newmarket also topped the Richmond Hill Stars by a 4-1 count as Mitten led the way with two goals.
After opening the week with a 5-4 victory over the Markham Waxers behind a two-goal effort from Wyatt, Newmarket received a pair of goals by Chad Levick in a 5-4 loss to the Barrie Colts.

Petrolia edged the East Gwillimbury Eagles 2-1 in overtime to capture the gold medal at a tournament in Strathroy.
The Eagles reached the final of the event on the strength of three straight wins, including a 4-3 overtime decision over Tillsonburg on Richard Whittaker’s second goal of the game and 3-2 verdict in extra time against Strathroy led by a Grady Ferguson marker.
East Gwillimbury also topped Mooretown 7-3 as Whittaker scored four goals and Thomas Stover struck for a pair.

Jeffrey Lyons and Tyler Robertson netted two goals each as the East Gwillimbury Eagles doused the Riochmond Hill Stars 7-2 in a game played Sunday.
Noah Sedore, Carson Yeomans and Ryan McPherson also scored for EG.
One day earlier, Tyler Robertson tallied in a 4-1 loss to the Aurora Tigers.

Single goals by Justin Kilb, Jordan Micks, Alex Vankempen, Quinton Lock and Jake O’Flaherty rounded out the EG scoring.
Lock netted two goals in a 7-3 home-ice win Saturday over the Pickering Panthers.

Ryan Mawhinney notched a hat trick and Justin Harrington collected five assists as the East Gwillimbury Eagles knocked Percy 7-3 in a game played Sunday in Sharon.

Goals by Jacob Cann, Kyle Rice and Eric McGhie accounted for the Aurora Tigers offence Saturday in a 5-3 loss at the hands of the East Gwillimbury Eagles.The loss capped a tough week for the Tigers who also dropped a 2-1 decision to the Stouffville Clippers and tied the NobleKing Knights 4-4.
Alex Wyndham-West notched the lone Tigers goal in the loss to Stouffville.
Against NobleKing, Joel Woodcock had a goal and assist as Colin McGoldrick, McGhie and Wyndham-West notched goals.

Fraser Sopik scored both York Simcoe Bucs touchdowns Sunday in a 12-6 home-field semifinal playoff victory over the Oshawa Hawkeyes at the Ray Twinney Complex.
The Bucs will face the North York Grizzlies in the league final to be played Saturday in Ajax.
