Emily Mau captured her first victory on the Canadian Junior Golf Association tour Tuesday after winning the girls division of the CJGA Junior Open at Lakeridge Links Golf Club near Whitby.

During the two-round event, the 17-year-old Thornhill resident fired a 197 (96-101) and finished 53 over par.

Niki Kalergis, 14, of Maple finished second with a 65-over par 209 (101-68).

Natalie Chung, 16, of Thornhill was third at 210 (111-99).

In the boys’ field, Jordan Romano, 15, of Thornhill finished in a two-way tie for third place in the 14-16 division after carding a 19-over par 163 (84-79).

Romano finished eight shots behind winner Patrick McRae, 16, of Markham, who was 11-over par at 155 (80-75).
