The Markham Rugby Football Club men’s firsts and seconds came out on the losing end of their Ontario Rugby Union Keenan Division matches against the host Oshawa Vikings last Saturday.

In the firsts match, Dave McCartney recorded a try and convert for Markham, which fell to 4-6-1 on the season. Mick Schaer, Gavin Howe and Mike deVries each added one try.

A.J. Drummond accounted for the lone Markham try as the seconds fell 37-5 to the host Vikings.

The loss dropped Markham’s record to 5-6-0.

The Markham firsts and seconds resume their ORU schedule Saturday when they play the Toronto Saracens at Austin Park starting at 1:30 p.m.
