David Bell fired a nine-over par 113 to finish in a two-way tie for fifth place in his age group at the Canadian Junior Golf Association Junior Open at Cedarhurst Golf Club in Beaverton Thursday.
Competing in the boys 17-19 Division, the 18-year-old Stouffville resident fired a 37 during a rain-shortened first round Wednesday and a 77 Thursday.
Bell finished seven shots behind winner Michael Bolger of Unionville, who carded a two-over par 106 (37-69).
