Police are continuing their hunt for two men who tried to rob a Ballantrae pizza shop last week.
Two men ordered food at Nonno Crupis Pizza on Hwy. 48 at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
While the clerk was handing the men their food, one of the men grabbed him by the arm and tried to pull him over the counter and the other man struck him in the head with a mallet. After a brief struggle, the men fled empty-handed in a mini-van with two-toned paint, possibly blue, gold or maroon.
The clerk was treated in hospital and released.
Both men were black and about 18 years old. One was five-feet, eight inches with a thin build and medium complexion, short brown hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a corduroy jacked and baseball hat. The other man was five-feet, 10-inches with a medium build and dark complexion. He had short black hair as was clean-shaven.
