York Regional Police are searching for two men after a Vaughan convenience store was robbed early this morning.
At about 3 a.m., the men — one packing a handgun, the other wielding a knife — walked into the Mac’s at 9505 Keele St., near Fieldgate Drive in Maple, confronted an employee and demanded cash, police said.
The robbers fled with money, cigarettes and lottery tickets and were spotted getting into a vehicle, possibly driven by a third person.
The employee was not hurt.
Police describe both robbers as black males, five-feet eight-inches tall, 160 pounds with thin builds.
The man with the gun was wearing a grey jacket, dark cargo pants and a balaclava.
The man brandishing the knife was clad in a dark hoodie and a balaclava.
