If you’re planning on going to a Grey Cup party this weekend, don’t plan on drinking and driving.

York Regional Police will be out conducting their enhanced RIDE and Safe Roads...Your Call programs before kickoff between the Montreal Alouettes and Calgary Stampeders Sunday.

RIDE spotchecks will begin during pre-game celebrations and continue through the evening as officers prepare to respond to post-game activities.

Although the RIDE program is being enhanced for the Grey Cup weekend, York Regional Police reminds the public that the program is a year-long initiative.

You can also be part of the crackdown on impaired drivers through the Safe Roads...Your Call program where you are encouraged to call 911 if you suspect someone of being an impaired driver.
