Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area
This 96-hectare park is a great place for bird-watching (a tower offers an ideal vantage point), hiking, or mountain biking. It features 4.2 kilometres of hiking trails through a marsh environment along the Holland River and a reservoir. Through it all, you’ll be amazed by the sheer vibrancy of life. History buffs will love the ghostly lock and swing-bridge from William Mulock’s ill-fated canal project of a century prior. Intended to link Newmarket to Lake Huron via the Holland River, Lake Simcoe, and the Severn River, the project was shut down after ten years of work and $60,000 in expenditures and was never completed.

Brooks Farms
Brooks Farms offers year-round fun for the whole family in a rustic setting. Pick fresh asparagus in May, strawberries in June and July, and raspberries in July and August. Fall Fun Festival weekends in October include wagon rides, pig races, pumpkin cannons, a haunted hayride and barn, and lots more. The fun culminates around Halloween. Winter Wonderland Festival weekends run from December to March, the highlight of which---as all children will tell you--- is snow-tubing. Brooks Farms also hosts special events throughout the year.
