A Vaughan man is charged with attempted murder after police found a man who had been struck by a vehicle in Concord over the weekend.

At about 2:20 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a parking lot in the Hwy. 7 and Interchange Way area, finding a 25-year-old Vaughan man who had suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle, Det.-Const. Kevin McCloskey said.

Another person approached police, claiming he had been assaulted inside LUXY nightclub after an argument became physical.

“It’s an altercation in the bar that found its way outdoors,” Det-Const. McCloskey said, declining to discuss what sparked the argument.

As the investigation unfolded, police found a Toyota pickup truck they have linked to the case and arrested a man at a Markham home.

Mark White, 31, of Vaughan is charged with attempted murder and assault.

Mr. White was scheduled for a court appearance Monday.
