Police release image of Thornhill robbery suspect

This man is wanted in connection with a robbery at a Thornhill Royal Bank branch Tuesday.

York Regional Police have released an image of a man wanted for robbing a Thornhill bank Tuesday. 

At about noon, a man walked into the Royal Bank branch at 8165 Yonge St., between Royal Orchard Boulevard and Hwy. 407, approached a teller and pulled out a note claiming he was armed and demanded cash, police said.

The man was given money and he ran south from the bank through a plaza.

No one was injured.

The man is in his 40s with a light brown complexion, five-feet eight-inches to five-feet 10-inches tall with a thin to average build, light brown hair pulled back in a pony tail, an unshaven appearance with a goatee. He was wearing dark pants, a yellow dress shirt, a light sport coat and a beige or yellow cap with a visor.
