Archaeological dig at mill open to public Saturday

Published on May 22, 2008

Have you ever wanted to check out an archaeological dig in your home town?

You can on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park on Stouffville Road.

Enjoy a guided hike and step into the past and explore an archaeological site discovered by archaeologists last year.

An unknown potter in the early 1800s left behind ruins that were uncovered during preparation work for the widening of Stouffville Road.

Please bring appropriate close-toed shoes for safety purposes.  This event is recommended for adults and children older than seven.

You must register in advance by calling 416-661-6600, ext. 5660 today.
