York Region will be in the TV spotlight next week as a decorator show comes to Markham.

Colour Confidential with Jane Lockhart is filming at a single father’s home near Ninth Line and 16th Avenue July 24 for its fourth season on the W network.

In each episode, Colour Confidential asks the question: Are you living in the wrong colour?

Instead of choosing colours from paint chips, homeowners are guided by Ms Lockhart’s approach by using everyday items to help pick colours and design direction: cocoa beans become the inspiration for a brown wall, beach glass translates to a backsplash and fine sand prompts the selection of a new carpet.

The goal in Markham is to re-do the father’s bedroom.
